Dear Salesian Family,
Gratitude
I am tardy in thanking you for all of the wonderful cards and goodies that you sent for Principal’s Appreciation Day. I have finally read each and every card and I have enjoyed the messages and artwork immensely. It is my privilege to work with your children and to be a part of our Salesian community. Thank you for your generosity and your support.
Fr. Thien
These last few weeks have been filled with activities and everyone in our community has been very busy.
For those of you who joined us at Father Thien’s Ordination we thank you for your support and for making the event so special.
Art At SSPP
Abby Herget and Mary Birchler turned our cafeteria into a museum. Many schools are unable to support art programs during these financially challenging times. The artwork that Abby and Mary creates with our students is stunning and well coordinated with our curriculum. I hope to have the media on alert next year. Thank you for brining art to our school community. We appreciate you.
Eighth Grade Activities and Graduation
The eighth graders enjoyed their picnic in Saratoga. We got lucky and had warm weather for the picnic. It has rained for the past two years so we were delighted to have sun for our graduates. The Graduation Ceremonies were truly beautiful. We are very proud of our Graduates and we wish them every success at their new schools. We are confident that they are well prepared for the challenges that lie ahead. We miss them already!
Faculty and Staff
One of our strengths is that we have a very stable faculty. The teachers, staff and Sisters will all be returning to SSSP with the exception of Ms. Parilo. It is always sad for us to say farewell to a wonderful teacher. Ms. Parilo will be moving to Los Angeles and will be pursuing teaching positions in the film industry. It has been a great honor to have such a wonderful, energetic, young and skillful teacher with us for the past few years. We all wish her the very best on her new adventure and we hope to hear that she has become the teacher to a huge STAR! Ms. Parilo will be missed.
Schedule Note
Please note that next year our Friday dismissal time has changed. Beginning the 2012-2013 school year students will be dismissed at 1:35 on Fridays.
Financial Obligations
Please be sure to meet all of your financial obligations. Our community remains strong when we all meet our obligations. In order to be readmitted to SSPP School all financial obligations from 2011-2012 must be cleared.
Happy Summer
The administration, faculty and staff wish you a wonderful summer. We thank you for allowing us to work with your children and we look forward to the new school year ahead. May you have many adventures this summer and may you have time to enjoy the company of family and friends.
If you need to communicate with the school over the summer please do so by email. We will check the email daily and will respond to any questions that need to be addressed.
