Creating and Performing Original Opera

Our Fifth Grade students participate in a special collaboration with the San Francisco Opera Guild that brings literature, music, and theater together in an unforgettable way.

Through this immersive program, students:

• Engage deeply with storytelling and curriculum
• Write their own original opera
• Compose lyrics and dialogue
• Rehearse and perform their production

Working alongside local teaching artists and Mrs. Franceschi, our students develop a full opera production to share with our school community and parents.

This hands-on experience builds confidence, creativity, teamwork, and public speaking skills - all while bringing learning to life through the power of music and theater.
